Svexa is looking for a results-driven product advocate and sales enthusiast with the combination of personal skills and business acumen to actively seek out and engage relevant customer prospects. This person will play an important role in svexa’s business team, contributing to svexa’s ongoing growth. While the core of the role is pursuit of viable prospects to drive paying sales, an important component of the role is curating relationships and expanding knowledge of svexa capabilities in relevant client sectors. As appropriate, this person may also represent svexa in press and at events.

Initially the Ambassador’s focus will be our product Ellida (a training planning system) for running and cycling, and/or Thrud (a training planning system) for strength training. The main target audiences for the initial product, Ellida for running, are for example race organizers and platforms, running apps and associations, and running shoes and apparel companies, with an audience of >100,000 users. Later products could include target audiences in various industries such as sports, fitness, healthcare, technology, and corporate health among others. The ideal clients will likely have their own frontend (website and/or app) where svexa can act as the intelligence layer. The ideal client will likely have complex requirements and be willing to invest in sophisticated tools and services that can help streamline their business processes, increase efficiency, and ultimately drive revenue growth.

About you

  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for the world of sports and application of the latest technology to improve performance
  • Existing network in professional sports, sports technology or related fields
  • Proven work experience and success record as a Sales leader
  • Ability to build productive business professional relationships, starting with ‘cold calls’ if needed
  • Familiarity with CRM practices and typical tools, specifically Hubspot
  • Understanding of business models, forecasts and highly motivated to hit the contained targets
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs, using svexa’s core material and tapping the team/external resources for more as needed
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role, and comfortable with working remotely
  • Good communication skills, fluent in conversational and written English
  • Eagerness to be a part of a rapidly growing team, flexible to new challenges every day, willing to pivot skills and task priorities as needed

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of svexa’s philosophy, product fundamentals, and ever-expanding range of potential client offerings
  • Present, promote and sell svexa products/services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of effective sales processes for svexa, including involvement of other team members and assessment of potential profitability
  • Contribute to shared central list of client prospects
  • Coordinate sales effort with business team members and other units
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through established personal contacts (ideal), build new contacts (standard) or cold calling (if needed). It is Ambassador’s responsibility to confirm ahead of time if a prospect is already been approached by svexa.
  • Expedite the resolution of prospective client questions to maximize satisfaction and retention
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Use Hubspot (or other relevant tools) to track prospects through ‘sales funnel’, estimate future revenues and provide regular status reports
  • Supply business team with periodic reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

Compensation Terms

  • Default position is $0k base salary with 15% commission.
  • For the clients that Sales Ambassador has introduced, followed throughout, and been the lead in the full negotiation process to a signed agreement between svexa and the client, they will receive a commission
  • Commission paid monthly based on actual net income from new clients over their first 12 months of revenue generation.
