At this week’s Nordic Life Sciences Days event, svexa CEO Mikael Mattsson moderated a supersession focused on use of data in disease prevention, diagnostics and precision health. They discussed the importance of understanding and controlling your own data, and how combining and owning your data will improve your health.
In today’s world, data is becoming increasingly valuable. It can provide insights into our lives, health, and even our performance in sports. However, the challenge is in how we handle and use this data to improve our health. One of svexa’s founding principles is that athletes and members of the wider population should own their data, and our technology is designed to enable each individual to efficiently extract actionable insights. Mikael has broad experience in digital and precision health, and focuses his research activities on optimization and individualization of exercise and physical training.
As well as being CEO at Svexa, Mikael is an author, scientist, coach and athlete who is active all over the world. He has a PhD in Medical Sciences – Exercise Physiology from Karolinska Institutet, and is now conducting his research at Stanford University (USA) and RISE (Sweden).
