NEJM AI, a new monthly journal from NEJM Group, explores the cutting-edge applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in clinical medicine. Launched in Dec 2023, NEJM AI’s primary goal is to augment the capabilities of clinicians, patients, and their larger community using the latest entrant to their ecosystem — AI — to deliver safe and effective health care to the highest collective standards. It is an interdisciplinary journal facilitating dialogue among stakeholders invested in using AI to transform medicine. The journal bridges the fast-moving developments in AI, informatics, and technology in medicine with the application of these advancements to clinical practice.
Euan joins esteemed colleagues from around the field of healthcare as custodians of this ambitious new journal.
Euan Ashley is an associate dean of the School of Medicine, the Roger And Joelle Burnell Professor of Genomics and Precision Health, and a professor of medicine, of genetics, and of biomedical data science. Ashley’s research group is focused on the science of precision medicine. In 2010, he led the team that carried out the first clinical interpretation of a human genome.
