Euan confirmed as new Chair of the Stanford Department of Medicine

Svexa’s Co-Founder and Chair of the Board Euan Ashley, M.B., Ch.B., D.Phil. has been confirmed as the new Chair of the Stanford Department of Medicine!

As he says, “it’s a great honor to take on this new role in such a prestigious institution, building from my past teams’ work in precision medicine, genetics and physiological data science. Broadening my horizons to general patient and population welfare is a harmonious parallel to svexa’s growth, and I’ll continue to support the team there as we develop human performance intelligence that will help not just athletes but the health of recreational and corporate users.”

Euan Ashley is an associate dean of the School of Medicine, the Roger And Joelle Burnell Professor of Genomics and Precision Health, and a professor of medicine, of genetics, and of biomedical data science. Ashley’s research group is focused on the science of precision medicine. In 2010, he led the team that carried out the first clinical interpretation of a human genome.
