Svexa’s Chief Resilience and Partnerships Officer Shikha Tandon, OLY recently participated as a speaker at Leaders Meet, India, where she delved into the role and future of data in athlete performance and general health, along with the transformative impact of technology on sports. The event was organized by Leaders in Sport, a prominent global sports events and media organization, in collaboration with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Innovation Lab, a member of the Indian Premier League (cricket). Recognizing India as a hub for innovation and a hotspot for groundbreaking commercial deals in sports, the nation has emerged as a key market for the industry’s future. The two-day event unfolded in Bangalore, India, at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence from November, 2023.
With a mission to explore the intersection of sports, business, technology, and social impact, the exclusive invite-only summit gathered an impressive assembly of over 350 attendees, including global sporting leaders and executives. Addressing pivotal themes, the speakers shared insights on diverse topics shaping the international sports industry both on and off the field.
Shikha emphasized svexa’s comprehensive approach to performance optimization and data analysis, shedding light on the potential contribution of sports organizations to public health. She underscored the importance of individuals owning and controlling access to their data to facilitate data portability across the domains of sports and health. In addition to Shikha’s session, Nitish Chiniwar, Founder of Bridges of Sports, one of svexa’s solidarity partners, was also invited to share insights on the social impact opportunities presented by sports.
Shikha has an MSc in Biology and in Biotechnology, and is an Olympic Swimmer with 37 medals in international championships.
