As we’ve reported previously, one of svexa’s core tenets is to do good through sports. With that in mind, we support a number of charitable organizations including Girls Gotta Run and Bridges of Sports. In addition, we award an annual Eva Hedberg Scholarship to support emerging athletes in artistic sports.
Recently we also started supporting the Danielle Childrens Fund, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) helping children in Ecuador who are going through situations that put at risk their right to live within their family and community. The objective is to contribute to the creation of safe and healthy family and community surroundings, where children can grow positively with love, respect, care, joy, and opportunities. Their main work in Quito is in the Pifo neighbourhood, where criminal gangs are regularly recruiting young people to become gang members.

Due to drug trafficking, the homicide rate in Ecuador has increased >500% in just a few years years (2020-2023) so we’re happy to support DCF in their critical initiative. As part of a recent trip to hike several of the highest peaks in Ecuador, our CEO Mikael Mattsson visited the area and the organization, and spent some time with the community – including watching Lilo & Stitch with the kids!
