As we’ve reported previously, svexa is proud to support Bridges of Sports, a charitable organization building a hyperlocal sports ecosystem around racially oppressed communities to sustainably produce India’s best athletes.
Bridges of Sports continue to go from strength to strength, with a lot of success in 2023. They now have a pool of 30+ athletes identified from over 10,000 children over the last 6 years. Few of the current fastest Indians across different age groups are from the same community, so bringing them together has been the biggest success for the team.
This has enabled BoS to launch their first outcome based project – “Project Toofan”, where athletes from the community will be trained to represent India across the following outcomes/milestones – Asian Youth Games (2025), Asian U-20 Championships (2026 and 2028), Asian Youth Athletics Championships (2025, 2027), Asian Games (2026), Youth Olympics (2026 and 2029), U-20 World Championships (2026), World Championships (2027) and Olympics (2028).
Thanks again for Svexa’s support, we’ll keep supporting our community in the coming months – Nitish Chiniwar, CEO & Founder, Bridges of Sports
