We’re happy to announce that svexa has acquired Kollektiv, a platform that enables coaches to build communities using AI-driven triathlon and other multi-sport training plans for their athletes.
Kollektiv was co-founded in 2020 in Denmark by Olympian and World Champion Triathlete and coach Helle Powell-Frederiksen and her husband, SME tech and marketing leader Ben. They did a great job pouring their expertise into creating native iOS and Android apps designed to make the world’s best athletes, coaches and experts accessible to everyday people, and compliment training with learning through video content. Kollektiv established a variety of coach-led training communities that were very popular with their fans.
Ben explains “Our vision has always been to provide everyday people with affordable access to individual training and communities fronted by influential coaching personalities. Svexa are at the forefront of the AI industry for sports and physical activity. We are proud that our work and vision is valued and recognized by this acquisition. Svexa are perfectly positioned to build on that, their established leadership in hyper-personalized, adaptive training could deliver a powerful Kollektiv 2.0“
The acquisition of Kollektiv’s assets fits with svexa’s vision of democratizing performance data and providing insights to all sorts of people in any situation. It allows svexa to move forward quickly into the multisport arena, expanding Ellida to more endurance sports and complementing our strength training product Thrud. It also expands our network of elite coaches for our Seidur solution. Svexa will work to improve Kollektiv’s solutions by integrating svexa’s hyper-personalized, adaptive training algorithms.
Svexa CEO & Co-Founder C. Mikael Mattsson adds “Kollektiv is a perfect fit with svexa’s expanding range of services. Their philosophy and combination of elite sporting experience with leading Al tools mirrors svexa’s ethos perfectly, and their deep expertise in multi-sport training will allow us to rapidly expand our offerings in this area.”
