After his many recent running successes, svexa analyst Andreas Almgren was interviewed recently by leading Swedish newspaper SportBladet. The article highlights the challenges that elite athletes face raising funds to enable the extensive training load their athletic goals require. Andreas breaks record after record and has run straight into the world elite, but is still forced to work part-time to make the athletics venture work.
Svexa is proud to offer a flexible working environment where we can attract top software development and analytics talent like Andreas, while enabling them to pursue regular training, special camps and competitions. Andreas is a vital contributor in our development of training products such as Ellida and Thrud, and svexa recognizes the value of his real-world elite athletics experience in combination with AI techniques as we develop these cutting edge products. In addition to his work with us, Andreas studies each week at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm.
We wish Andreas the very best of luck as he continues to prepare for the European Athletics Championships in Rome and then the 5,000m and 10,000m races at this summer’s Olympics in Paris!
